This is Winsome with her dam "Star," a 16 hand Thoroughbred mare by Gallant John.  Star is a very sweet mare, very easy have around, easy to load, trim, etc.   Star's sire Gallant John was a gorgeous black Thoroughbred stallion who produced top nationally ranked hunters.  To see photos of Gallant John click here

To see photos of Winsome's older full brother Cosmos, click here.  (There is also a full pedigree listed on that page).  Cosmos was sold to Virginia and is doing great!  He recently scored 68% at his very first Dressage show!  (Training Level 2).  He also placed 2nd and 4th over baby-size jumps at a recent hunter show.  He is not yet 4 years old.

Winsome should have talent for either Dressage or Jumping.  I think she would probably enjoy eventing, as she is quite bold and she gallops right through the big puddles!  Her dam sire Gallant John produced top nationally ranked hunters and her grandsire Rampal was a top Grand Prix Dressage horse!  Winsome is a lovely, balanced mover.  (Video available.)
Winsome is registered with the North American Dutch Warmblood Registry (NA/WPN).  She has "Register B" papers.  Under the new rules, the registry has 4 categories:  Main Foalbook, Register A, Register B and Certificate of Pedigree.  With Reg. B papers, Winsome can later be bred to any "Approved" Dutch stallion and the foal would receive Main Foalbook (highest) papers.  If bred to a "Licensed" (but not yet fully approved) Dutch stallion, the foal would receive Register A papers.
