Saphire is currently in training and well started under saddle. She has had lots of ground work and is lunging under tack and being ridden at the walk, trot and canter. She loves being worked with and if she sees me heading out to the pasture with a halter, she will head right to me, often at a gallop!
Saphire also loves to be clicker trained. I have taught her to pick up her feet, load in the trailer, and also to stand still all on her own while I rub her with scary objects like balls, umbrellas, etc. It's pretty funny how hard she tries to be brave when there's a treat in it for her! |

Saphire has been completely sound and has good clean legs and good feet. She is 16 hands tall (yes, really).
Her gaits are lovely, naturally round with lots of "float," but she is also very adjustable, and can do a nice soft trot that almost anyone could easily sit. She is generally calm, almost to the point of lazy on a warm day, but she can also be sensitive, and she goes best with a rider that asks nicely rather than demanding. Expect her price to increase as she receives further training. |
